Dimitrios Stefanidis, MD, PhD, is fellowship trained in minimally invasive, advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery.
Dr. Stefanidis specializes in laparoscopic weight loss surgery and laparoscopic general surgery. Dr. Stefanidis has a special interest in simulation and teaching of advanced laparoscopic techniques and is the medical director of the Carolinas Simulation Center.
He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and actively participates in numerous national committees.
Anna Marie Mantey, PA-C

Ms. Mantey is a Physician Assistant with Carolinas Weight Management & Wellness Center. She provides services in the clinic setting to patients undergoing weight loss surgery. She has more than 25 years experience as a Physician Assistant.
Ms. Mantey is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the NC Board of Medicine. Ms. Mantey is married and enjoys performing classical music, gardening, and traveling with her husband and her dog.
